Newborn sessions are held in my studio located 5 mins off of 99 in North Modesto. All sessions are done Monday-Friday. My studio is fully stocked with thousands of pieces to create custom timeless photos of your little one at this fleeting stage of life. Nothing is needed from mom and dad, except an occasional diaper change or feeding. No need to worry about cleaning up or making sure you have space to shoot in your home, I have everything we need in studio including a comfortable place for family to relax while we shoot as well as coffee and snacks.
Choosing a newborn photographer can be a daunting task. You are trusting your world to someone. I have done hundreds of newborn sessions over the years (400+ as of 2024). My experience means that I am a pro at soothing even the crankiest of babies and safely posing them. I am certified, insured and fully vaccinated, including covid boosters, flu shots and tdap.
Sessions are custom designed for each family regardless of package. After answering a short questionnaire and chatting over email regarding color choices and prop preferences, I will put together a styled session that will go with the color schemes and themes that suit your personal tastes. Keep in mind the color and design of your own home, so we can design a session that will look fabulous up on your walls! I have somewhat of a prop collecting problem, so you’ll have plenty to choose from!
Clients will also be sent out my client guide prior to their session, to help answer any questions and further explain my workflow for the day of your session. I highly recommend reading this guide. It will prepare you for your session and answer any additional questions you may have.

Please remember to book in advance. I strongly encourage you to book before your little bundle arrives. Your ideal time to book is any time during your second trimester. I do take a few last minute bookings each month for clients that forgot to book their newborn session, but these are very limited.

Keepsake Newborn Sesion – Session Fee $300 (Baby Only)
Keepsake sessions are about 90 minutes long. This session is baby only, with swaddled, unswaddled and outfit poses are included in this package. Available for babies up to 4 weeks of age.
This session comes with 6 different set-ups. Each set-up will have its own custom styling and color scheme. A wide variety of wraps, headbands, bonnets, hats and small accessories are always included in my sessions.
Family members are not included in this package. Parent hands can be used for detail shots (hands on feet, etc), but no full frame images with parents or family members are included.
Twins are an additional $75.
Session fees are due upon booking and are non-refundable. Session fees do not include digitals, prints, wall art or albums. Your session fee is your retainer and includes the time and talents of the photographer, use of my fully stocked studio, session styling, all equipment, including props and set design used during your session. My digital collection fees are separate from my package fees, giving clients the freedom to choose as many or as few as they’d like. Digital collections are all high resolution and begin at $250. Digital collections are not combinable across multiple sessions and do not need to be selected until after you receive your proofing gallery. Mommy’s Choice Newborn Session – Session Fee $450 (Family Inclusive Package)
The Mommy’s Choice Package includes 3 hours of session time, backgrounds for mom and dad to take portraits with their little one and set-ups to include siblings. Swaddled, unswaddled and outfit poses are included in this package. Available for babies up to 4 weeks of age.
This package comes with 8 different set-ups. Each set-up will have its own custom styling and color scheme. A wide variety of wraps, headbands, bonnets, hats and small accessories are always included in my sessions. A large family backdrop is also included for the family portraits. Family backdrops are available in a variety of colors, although my most used colors are beige and grey. For younger siblings I have plenty of floor set-ups to keep the baby safe while we pose them with a sibling that may not be quite ready to hold the baby.
This package is limited to immediate family (parents and siblings only), no extended family members. Moms will have access to my extensive client closet if they would like to use one of my gowns for the session. No outfit changes for the family portion of this session.

Petite Swaddled Newborn Session – Session Fee $200
My petite sessions are a budget friendly option. Each petite swaddled newborn session is about 45 minutes long. Babies will be swaddled the entire session, no unwrapped poses will be taken during this session. Available for babies up to 6 weeks of age.
This session includes 3 all wrapped set-ups. Each set-up includes matching wraps, props and backdrops. Family is not included in this package.
Twins are an additional $50
Session fees are due upon booking and are non-refundable. Session fees do not include digitals, prints, wall art or albums. Legacy Newborn Session – Session Fee $1600 (All inclusive package)
My legacy session is my all inclusive offering. This session includes family (parents, siblings and even grandparents!), a custom printed heirloom album, slideshow and ALL of your digitals! No need to make difficult decisions on which photos of your beautiful baby are best, you’ll get them all! Available for babies up to 4 weeks of age.
Each legacy newborn session is about 4 hours long. Swaddled, unswaddled and outfit poses are included in this package. Each set-up will have its own custom styling and color scheme. A wide variety of wraps, headbands, bonnets, hats and small accessories are always included in my sessions.
Backgrounds for mom and dad to take portraits with their little one will be available as well as a full family background for parents, siblings and grandparents and set-ups to include siblings. Families will also have use of a lifestyle faux bedroom area for more intimate lifestyle portraits with your baby.
Moms will have access to my extensive client closet if they would like to use one of my gowns for the session. Family will also have the ability to do an outfit change for two different looks during the family portion.
Twins are an additional $250
A retainer of $500 will be due upon booking and is non-refundable. Your retainer will go towards your session total. Your session fee includes the time and talents of the photographer, use of my fully stocked studio, session styling, all equipment, props and set design used during your session, a digital birth announcement, an heirloom album, slideshow and all digitals that meet the artistic standards of your photographer. Legacy sessions typically produce over 100 images. Session fees do not include prints or wall art. THE PROCESS
Booking your newborn session is ideally tentatively booked during your second trimester. My calendar does fill up quickly, I do sometimes have last minute openings, but to secure an ideal date for your session, please book before your baby arrives. The ideal time to take newborn portraits is 7-14 days old. Older babies tend to stay awake more during a session and they grow surprisingly fast! You’ll want to capture your baby as early as possible to remember just how tiny they were.
When you contact me to book your session, we will go over the type of session you’ll be choosing, the color of backgrounds and wraps, whether mom and dad or siblings will be included, set design, clothing choices and more. Digital collections do not need to be decided upon before your session.
