Unswaddled poses are what I like to call loose poses. These are always done on my fabric backdrop. Your baby will be wearing a diaper and nothing else. Fabric will be draped to hide the diaper and the baby will be posed in sweet dreamy newborn poses. Samples of unswaddled poses can be seen above.
Outfit poses are done either on my fabric backdrop or in a prop, sometimes both! I have a wide variety of outfits available for use during your session. If you have something special you’d like to use, we of course use your own outfit. If you see an outfit in my portfolio or on my social media that you like, you can request specific outfits, otherwise I will be bringing an outfit that will go with your desired style and color choice. I currently have over 30 outfits in my collection. Samples of outfit poses can be seen above.
Swaddled poses are normally only done in prop sets. If your baby is particularly fussy and we are unable to get good sleepy unswaddled poses, I may do a few swaddled with the fabric backdrop before moving on to your prop sets. I have a wide variety of colors and styles of wraps for newborn sessions and am very good at getting them into a nice little round potato form for their photos. If you have a package with family poses, I will also keep your baby swaddled for those. It will be much easier (and safer!) to get the sweet dreamy poses of you and your baby while they are in a swaddle vs an outfit. Samples of swaddled poses can be seen above.
I have a wide selection of props, from little beds, to wooden benches, chairs, baskets and shaped bowls. My current collection is extensive. I am working on getting a page up dedicated to every single prop I have in my collection. For the time being, please check my social media and the portfolio section here for a sampling of my current collection. I will also suggest props that will be good to use based on the styling questionnaire I give you.
